I am a very grateful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and a member in good standing of Phillips Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, CA.

My special interests include family; personal self-improvement, community service and golf.

I am taking a leadership role in the Phillips Temple Church Ministry to Men, Boys to Men mentoring project.

I recently completed a step study in the Celebrate Recovery ministry of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA

I am a member in good standing of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

I am an Advanced Toastmaster and former Area Governor in District 52 of Toastmasters International.

I have extensive experience in public and community affairs and media, with local City government and the Army and Naval Reserve, as well as radio news and community newspapers.

I possess a Professional Designation Certificate in Public Relations from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts Radio and Television Broadcasting from CSU-Los Angeles

I am the Public Relations Committee Chair for the American Public Works Association, Southern California Chapter.

I represent the California Association of Public Information Officials on the League of California Cities Transportation, Public Works and Communications committee.

Recently coordinated, scheduled or conducted community outreach speaking engagements that reached more than 425 residents in five community forums.

Responded to 21 media calls and provided outreach support to projects resulting in positive coverage in at least 11 media outlets.

Directed Adopt-A-School and Partnerships program, in which 11 schools participated and increased number of partnering schools to 25.

Directed a comprehensive public and community outreach program, edited and published a monthly in-house newsletter, oversaw a tour program that reached nearly 10,000 international and domestic visitors annually, supervised a staff of four and created a mentor-internship program to improve community relations.
